Become the first tester of a new app

Loading group instructions.

1. Sign up with the Google account you want to use for testing

   On the group page, check your logged in account and complete group membership. If you have already signed up, proceed to the next step.

2. Participate in and install Play Test for each app

   Open the Play link in the app details with the same Google account. Even after joining the group, participation in testing is required for each app.

3. Log in to OpenTester from the app

   Apps that participate immediately can use the feature upon application, and apps that participate after approval can use the feature after developer approval. You can participate in and install Play even while waiting for approval.

Joining a group, participating in a Play Test, and app approval are separate. OpenTester does not automatically confirm that you have joined a group or completed your Play participation.
